June 2nd, 2002 We are very proud of the Benefit in which we helped to raise Mr. Raven a large sum of money! Joe received money from all sorts of vendors and benefit participants that we have no way of knowing just how much money he received through everyone's efforts. Our club is very happy for Joe. The really important part of the benefit for us is that our club all pulled together to do our part! Having shown that Magicians can check their attitudes and cooperate, while working towards a common goal, we have proven to everyone including ourselves that Magicians are a wonderful and successful group of people who can get the job done! Our first outting as a cohesive magic club was a great success! All area performers should be proud to take a page from those Magicians and Musicians who worked together to make the Joseph Raven Benefit a huge success! Please take a BOW! The tragic event that happened to Joe can happen to anyone. We, as Entertainers, need to pull together in support of each other. The Pocono's Mountain Magic Assembly of the SAM is happy that we could help out a fellow performer in his hour of need.
